Paradise Shoman, living in Portugal after spending more than 20 years in Dubai the Palestinian humanitarian specialist, was born into a prominent family in Jerusalem and raised in the UAE. Her father was a famous lawyer, and her family owned the first bank in the Middle East, providing a privileged upbringing. Despite this, Paradise's empathy for the less fortunate remained a constant.
Raised in a multicultural family with roots in Palestine, and Cyprus, Paradise’s upbringing was enriched by a creative environment. Surrounded by her mother, aunts, and grandmother, who celebrated arts, crafts, and creative home decor, Paradise’s mother played a significant role in nurturing her passion for arts and crafts. This supportive atmosphere ignited a lifelong love for various forms of artistic expression.
Enrolling in numerous courses supported by her mother, Paradise cultivated skills in painting, designing, and decorating. Her artistic pursuits extended beyond her home, encompassing friends, family, school, and university activities, even delving into designing clothes and furniture.
Paradise moved to Jordan to pursue her higher education and earned a bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from Petra University in 1996. During this time, she also taught English and accumulated certificates from both local and international institutions

Her dedication and empathy were legendary, ensuring no one around her was in need. After her tenure with the Red Crescent, she shifted her focus to environmental issues and sustainable artwork Since moving to Braga in 2019, her art has blossomed, inspired by the city's beauty and her commitment to using natural and recycled materials. Her work reflects a harmonious blend of personal life and ideals, supporting the environment, health, and well-being.
Professional Ventures: From teaching and running a small business to managing roles in Dubai, Paradise earned the Super Star Customer Service Award in 2004.
Personal Stories: “No matter where I go, I feel a connection between myself, the sea, and the trees. I feel like the trees talk to me. When I see a tree, I see a piece of art. When I was a child, I would sit near the trees and give them names, and I still do that today. I would go to the sea and say it was mine. I would spend hours there, even sleep there. I listened to the sea and talked to it.
